Hatha Yoga

One of the oldest forms of yoga Hatha Yoga originated in India some 2000 years ago to bring the body into alignment and work on building up strength and flexibility in the body and mind.

Suitable for all levels.

You will flow through a sequence of Hatha poses linking your breath to movement, while strengthening your body and improving your flexibility and balance.

Yin Yoga

In this slower practice you will hold asanas for extended periods of time to work deep into your connective tissue, joints and bones, releasing areas of stress & tension that a dynamic yoga practice cannot always access.

Pranayama & Meditation

Yoga For Recovery

In this class the focus is on creating a safe space for people in recovery from any type of addiction to practice yoga to help the healing process.

Recovery from addiction of any kind requires healing for the mind, body, and spirit.

The class is based on The Minded Addiction Recovery Kit (MARK) of yoga & mindfulness for recovery by the Minded Institute and uses a yogic-based approach to give people in recovery self- regulatory tools by bringing mindful awareness to the body which can support the recovery process for oneself.

The classes will include Yoga Nidra (deep relaxation) asanas (poses) and pranayama (breathing exercises) to calm the nervous system and ease the symptoms of problems such as stress, anxiety or sleeping.

The class is beginners-level, and we welcome people in recovery, as well as friends and family!

Price: donation only/pay what you can.

Vinyasa Flow

This class has a focus on coordinating the breath with movement as you flow through a sequence of poses to help strengthen the body & ease the mind.

Variations & modifications are given however it is recommended that you have some experience or knowledge of basic yoga poses prior to taking this class.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is a “yogic sleep” and is a meditation technique where you are guided into a state of deep relaxation while maintaining awareness.

This practice is done lying in a comfortable and supported Savasana (resting pose) allowing you to release physical, mental and emotional tension which will hopefully leave you feeling rested and restored.

Relax & unwind with this slow moving and gentle yoga and meditation practice to release the stresses and worries of the day.

Strength & Conditioning

Yoga isn’t just about becoming flexible. Many times we push on in our practice unaware that in order to go deeper, you need the strength to carry you. Tightness in your muscles is often a sign of weakness in your muscles.

This class will include a mix of yoga asanas (poses) & core work (not just the abs) to help you strengthen & condition your entire body & mind. Helping you to evolve in your yoga practice by getting to know your body & hopefully prevent injuries by accepting your limits & capacity in certain poses.
Variations will be given and the same sequence will be taught throughout the month to give you the opportunity to get familiar with poses & see your progression.
This class is suitable for all levels.

Seasonal Chilled Yoga

Seasonal Yoga is a style of yoga designed to reflect seasonal changes, and work with these energies and qualities to support individual organs and systems, encouraging physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.
